POLICIES
CANCELLATION POLICY
​
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of your lesson for any reason (including sickness, last-minute callbacks, etc.) and we are unable to fill your lesson time, you will be responsible for a $75 cancellation fee.
If you cancel less than 8 hours before the start of your lesson and we are unable to fill your lesson time, you will be responsible for a $100 cancellation fee.

Please note: cancellations are only accepted/confirmed via email. To allow Chris to focus on teaching, please avoid verbal schedule changes.

If we are able to fill a late-canceled lesson from the waitlist, there is never a cancellation fee

LATENESS / NO-SHOW POLICY
​
Chris will hold your lesson for 15 minutes after your start time.
If you are more than 15 minutes late and Chris hasn't heard from you, we consider it a no-show and the lesson is canceled.
If you do not show up for a confirmed lesson (or if you forfeit your lesson due to lateness), you are responsible for the full fee for the lesson.

SCHEDULING
​
All lesson scheduling is done through email, and we schedule for dates at most a month in advance. (So if today is 5/25, the schedule is open through 6/25. If today is 10/12, the schedule is open through 11/12, etc.)

Please note: To allow Chris to focus on teaching, we cannot honor verbal schedule requests or changes. Thank you for your understanding!
Please send all emails regarding scheduling (lesson requests, changes, and cancellations) to both maggie@chrisyorkvoicestudio.com and chris@chrisyorkvoicestudio.com so we can all stay on the same page and get back to you as quickly as possible.
Please include in your email some dates and times you are available so we can work together to get back to you and get you scheduled in as quickly as possible. We are located in Eastern time, and unless you specify otherwise in an individual request, all times we list are in Eastern time.

You will receive a confirmation through our scheduling system. Please do not unsubscribe from these emails as they will contain location/connection information!
WAITLISTS
​
The studio uses date- and time-specific waitlists to better offer you lessons that work with your schedule. We do not have a general waitlist.
We will happily add you to waitlists for dates and times you are available up to a month in advance. If there is a cancellation and a lesson becomes available, we contact students from the waitlist for that lesson in the order they joined.

Please note: because of the number of students in the studio and constantly changing availability on all sides, we unfortunately cannot "auto-renew" your availability from month to month.

OTHER INQUIRIES

Any other questions you may have outside of your lesson time (repertoire questions, advice, etc) can come directly to Chris via email (chris@chrisyorkvoicestudio.com).
Chris's phone number is only to be used for studio access or last-minute notifications of lateness.
To allow him to focus on teaching, Chris does not accept phone calls during studio hours.
PAYMENT​
Payment is accepted via:

Debit/credit card via invoice sent the day before your lesson

Card on file (if you opt to save a card to file)
For your security and safety, we are unfortunately no longer able to accept Zelle, Venmo, checks, or cash, and all payments will be handled via the invoices sent to you.
OUTSTANDING BALANCES

Payment is expected at the beginning of your lesson for in-person lessons and by the time of your lesson for remote lessons.
We unfortunately cannot schedule further lessons for clients with outstanding balances from missed lessons or cancellation fees.
